5 Ingredient Paleo Chocolate Sun Granola

Description

Paleo nut free chocolate granola made with just five ingredients and no dehydrator needed!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1.5 cups dates
  • 2 tablespoons cacao
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. 
  2. Add sunflower seeds and dates to a food processor with an S blade. 
  3. Turn on food processor and process until you reach desired consistency of granola. I like it just a little bigger than beach sand, which takes about a minute. 
  4. Add in the remaining ingredients and process until blended. It should be a little chunky here. 
  5. Spread mixture evenly onto parchment paper. Add to oven and bake for 20 minutes. Then using a fork, stir the granola around a bit and bake for another 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and set on a wire rack to cool for 15-20 minutes. Store in an airtight container, like a mason jar. 

Notes

Delicious on its own, or in a bowl with your favorite milk and fresh fruit. 

Would also be great on vanilla ice cream!
